At Gray Skies Therapy, we specialize in getting to the root of your experience. We take time to understand why symptoms developed—not just what they are—so you can get care that truly fits.

Effective treatment for personality disorders often includes individual therapy, skills-based support, and sometimes medication or family involvement. We use evidence-based approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and EMDR to support meaningful, lasting change.

Personality Disorders

Our personalities shape how we think, feel, and relate to the world. But when certain patterns cause ongoing distress or interfere with relationships, work, or daily life, a personality disorder may be part of the picture.

Personality disorders don’t have one single cause—they often stem from a mix of genetics, early experiences, and trauma.

Many clients come to us with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), only to later discover that their symptoms may actually be related to undiagnosed ADHD, autism, or unresolved trauma.

These conditions can look very similar, especially when emotional intensity, sensory sensitivity, or executive functioning struggles are involved.
