FAQs

  • First, sign up for a free consultation. This will give us a chance to meet and decide if we’re a good fit. The consultations are 30 minutes and can be done via Telehealth, though meeting for the first time in-person at the office is greatly preferred.

Next, if you decide to move forward, you’ll read and sign the required paperwork and become familiar with the Patient Portal.

After that, you simply show up to your intake appointment and we’ll get started.

    That’s it!

  • Typical session availability is Tuesday-Thursday. There are limited evening spots available. There’s some flexibility on days/times in special circumstances and for concierge clients. Contact to inquire about specifics.

  • Yes! Sessions are available via Zoom or Phone if needed.

  • My session fee for individuals is $200, and for couples is $225.

My one-time intake fee is $300.

*Returning clients keep their old rate.

    Group sessions are $90.

Emails, texts, case coordination with other providers, and coaching calls are all no charge.

If you cannot meet my session fee, please reach out to me and I can either provide a sliding scale or connect you with services that are in your price range.

  • No, I am not in network with insurance companies, and am considered “Out of Network”.

Accepting insurance allows insurance companies to have a say in your treatment and to have access to your confidential information, including diagnoses and treatment plans. They may also put limitations on quantity and frequency. It is my belief that those decisions should be left to us.

I can, however, provide a Superbill, and depending on your particular insurance company, you may be able to submit them for a partial refund.

I can provide my NPI number and the CPT billing codes so that you can contact your insurance ahead of time.

  • I accept most payment methods including debit and credit cards, HSAs.

  • Cancellation requires 24 hours notice except in the case of severe weather or significant life events. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your session, billing will charge the full fee.

  • While I do not prescribe medication, I’m happy to collaborate with your prescribing provider- with your written consent- to support coordinated, comprehensive care.

I often work in close collaboration with David Spielman, a psychiatric provider and owner of Quirkiatry.com, who specializes in neurodivergent-focused medication management and assessments. I highly recommend his services for clients seeking thoughtful, affirming psychiatric support.

For our mutual clients, we can coordinate appointments so that both providers can be present to discuss your medication and symptoms, which allows for uniquely comprehensive and supportive care.

  • How long therapy takes is different for each individual client.

Specific modalities, such as comprehensive, adherent DBT, typically require a one year commitment. Other, more tailored approaches, are based on symptom reduction or elimination, guided by your own insight.

If you are time-limited, we can form a plan that fits your needs.

  • Coaching can be used for inter-session contact if you need help accessing a skill or experience a crisis. You will receive a form to sign that explains the details and limitations.

Concierge clients have access to coaching during extended business hours.
