Hi.
I’m Krista, psychotherapist and owner of Gray Skies Therapy. I’m originally from Philadelphia, raised in Pittsburgh, and have called the Nashville area home for about 17 years.
I genuinely love tea, long walks, time in nature, and meditation- though my AuDHD remains unconvinced, and routinely interferes. Living inside that contradiction has made me deeply respectful of nervous systems that don’t respond to willpower, insight, or “just try harder” advice, and exceptionally good at working with the ones that show up anyway.
Clinical Focus
I provide private, concierge-level psychotherapy informed by extensive clinical experience. I offer neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+-friendly care, supporting individuals as they make sense of complex emotional experiences with clarity, structure, and compassion.
Clinical Background
I earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University and completed my graduate training through dual internships at the Lipscomb University Counseling Center and a private practice specializing in comprehensive, adherent DBT and family-based treatment. My area of expertise includes borderline personality disorder, ADHD, ASD, and complex trauma, particularly in cases where diagnoses overlap or have been historically misunderstood.
I support clients experiencing emotion dysregulation, anxiety, depression, executive dysfunction, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. My post-graduate training has concentrated on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I have experience working with adults, teens, couples, and families.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m actively involved in the local mental health community. I serve on the board of the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute where I participate on multiple committees, and I serve as chair for IMPACT, a collaborative institution focused on advocacy and connection across various mental health organizations.
